Morgan obtained degrees in law and science at Otago University before being admitted to the bar in 1997. He has lived in Tauranga with his family for most of his career.
Morgan initially worked for a law firm in the South Island where he was involved in Crown prosecutions and family law. In 2000 he was appointed as a prosecutor for the Ministry for Primary Industries at Mt Maunganui where he was involved in some of the most serious fisheries prosecutions and animal welfare prosecutions in New Zealand. Morgan has travelled extensively in the Pacific region as a guest speaker at legal conferences and assisting with training law enforcement officers.
Now defence counsel, Morgan brings extensive courtroom experience and technical expertise to the business.
When he is not working Morgan enjoys the excellent fishing and backcountry that the Bay of Plenty has to offer.
